By participating in the Skein Gang Discord server, on the website (skeingang.com), in our Twitch Streams, or the in-game guilds, you agree to these rules. You should have accepted them already when joining the server, but they can be reviewed here at any time as well.

Skein Gang is a third-party site built to provide information and services to assist players who play Guild Wars 2. The Skein Gang website and Skein Gang Web Team is in no way associated with ArenaNet, NCSOFT Corporation or the Guild Wars 2 trademark.

• Be kind, always. If you make a mistake, apologize. If someone offends you, do your best to forgive them.
• Avoid destructive criticism. Always try to be constructive when offering feedback or opinions.
• Treat everyone with respect.
• Fun first, always.

The Skein Gang website integrates with some third-parties to deliver the available services. Any questions about these services or their terms should be directed to the appropriate parties using the details below.

• ​No toxicity, harassment, hate speech, or witch hunting of any sort.
• No homophobia, sexism, racism, ableism, or any other "isms".
• No R word.
• No spam.
• No self-promotion (server invites, advertisements, etc...) without permission from a moderator. This includes directly messaging fellow members.
• No NSFW or obscene content. This includes text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphically disturbing content.
• Do not break the Guild Wars 2/ArenaNet Code of Conduct or User Agreement.

• You may discuss KP (kill proof), but you must not ask for KP within the community.
• Avoid discussing spoilers or leaks in the general or public-facing Discord channels.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use our services, and meet the minimum age requirements by your country. This is the same as Discord's Terms of Service. If you are a minor according to the laws of your country (usually under 18 years of age), you must receive permission from your parent or guardian to use our services. If you do not understand this section, or do not know whether you have reached the age of majority where you live, ask your parent or guardian for help and read these terms with them.
• If you have an issue with another player, open a ticket in #support immediately, don't take actions.
• You must receive permission from all participants to record or live stream your static run.

Violations may result in warnings or a permanent ban from our Discord server. The moderators reserve the right to interpret and enforce the rules at their discretion.

If we become aware that we have a user under the age of 13 or the minimum digital age of the user's country, we will delete that account and ban it from our Discord server.

This privacy policy encompasses using the website (https://skeingang.com) after logging in, and being part of the community on Discord. For Discord usage in general, see Discord's own privacy policy.

"Our Discord server", "the Discord server" and “the server” refer to the Skein Gang [SG] Discord server, with the server ID 737011921957552210.

"The website" refers to https://skeingang.com and all its pages.

"We", "us", “Skein Gang", and “SG” refer in this document to Sneb, the moderators, officers and the web development team.

We may be contacted by opening a ticket in the #support channel on the Discord server. Alternatively, if you do not have access to the Discord server, you may send a direct message to one of these Discord accounts or email addresses:

Please note: If you decide to email one of the moderators, please format your subject line as follows: “Discord Name | Reason for communication”. Otherwise, it may get lost in inboxes. Email requests will also have a longer turnaround time than Discord requests.

We ask for your Discord account name, server nickname, account ID, avatar, and which Discord servers you have joined when you log in to our website. We do not store information about which servers you have joined — this is only used to verify that you are a member of the Skein Gang discord server.

Your Discord account name, ID, and avatar are used to create a user profile for the website and provide access to its services.

We retain this data for as long as you remain a part of the Discord server. It may take up to three weeks after leaving the server for your data to be removed from all our systems (3 months including any backups). If you want your website account deleted without leaving the server, put in a ticket in #support.

When you want to join a static, we ask you for which region you play in, what your Guild Wars 2 display name(s) is/are, your experience with group content, whether you're willing to lead, and which roles you are able to play.
Note: Your display name is a unique identifier for your account, of the format username.1234. We do not ask for your account name (the email address you use to log in).

This information is shared with the other members of your team, and may be shared with team leadership prior to an application being accepted. In addition, if enabled in your profile settings, your Discord name and Guild Wars 2 display names can be made visible to other logged-in website visitors on the pages of statics you are an active member of.

This data is available until you remove it from your profile, or it is deleted together with the login data.

We store your current static memberships, including your membership role (normal, static representative or honorary member). This is required for us to be able to provide our services. When you leave a static, no history of previous membership is kept.

We may also temporarily store anonymous information about web requests made by users’ browsers temporarily, for up to 90 days. This data is used for security monitoring and internal diagnostics.

Sneb and the moderators have access to all messages written, media shared, and reactions used in our Discord server. Discord Inc. stores this data under their privacy policy.

Sneb and the moderators may read messages, inspect media, and view reactions on our Discord server in order to moderate the community according to our terms of service.

We check which Discord accounts are part of our Discord server, and may store a list of restricted Discord account names and IDs. Entries on this list are retained for as long as we deem necessary in order to provide our services.

We do not share any data with any third parties. We receive data from Discord Inc. when we use Discord's service to provide login on our website, as described in the previous section. We rely on Discord's services to provide the services on our Discord server. We do not receive any other data from third parties. We do not use any ads or trackers on our website.

We recognize and respect your privacy rights as granted by local data protection laws. Examples of these are the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). Depending on where you live, you have these rights:

Right to access or know: You can request information about whether and how we process your personal data, as well as obtain a copy of your data.

Right to rectification or correction: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Right to erasure or deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data under certain conditions.

Right to restrict processing: You can request that we limit the processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

Right to get notified upon data-breach: We will notify our users in the "🙌|announcements" channel on our Discord server in case of a security breach, within 3 days of us becoming aware of a data breach.

Changes to this document that affect how personal data is handled will be announced in the "🙌|announcements" channel. If the change involves new purposes for processing personal data or more data is collected, the change will be announced at least 2 weeks before the new privacy policy goes into effect.
